		Akiri started her Obedience training with Tumi at 14 months. She gained her first and second passes to CD with scores of 193 and 192, but we decided to mate her and therefore had to wait for her third pass until 17th July 1988 when she obtained her CD title with a score of 190. Akiri went on to obtain her CDX title and was the first Akita Bitch in Australia to obtain an obedience title, and the first dual titled Akita in Australia. She went up to West. Aust. with Tumi to Phil Thompson ( we could not split them up) and she was shown extensively while she was there.
